Growing up I would draw, fill up notebooks with dress designs and have a need to be crafty. In an immigrant household these interests were overlooked and even disposed with the intention to show that art isn’t to be taken seriously. I had the chance to start overcoming this mentality during the pandemic, when time is all I had and art was my only outlet. I never stopped making. My soul is now closer to peace.
